Smíchov

Smíchov, a city district within Prague 5, lies on the left bank of the River Vltava, its northern boundary running smoothly into Malá Strana (Lesser Town). It has without doubt become one of the most frequented districts of Prague. The area has everything that those living there might need, from quality infrastructure and excellent transport connections by car, train and local public transport (including several Metro stations) to plenty of greenery and city parks. Anděl Cross is the dominant feature of Smíchov, where the glass Zlatý Anděl building designed by Jean Nouvel stands next to one of the biggest shopping centres in the city, Nový Smíchov, with its hypermarket and a whole host of shops, a fitness centre and a multiplex cinema. Two of the Prague islands, Císařská louka and Dětský ostrov, are also found in Smíchov.

Na Václavce

Na Václavce Street, which lies in the very heart of Smíchov, joins U Santošky Street and Malvazinky Street. The steep street is architecturally highly diverse, in spite of the fact that many of the buildings here were built in the same year, 1903. The buildings at numbers 14, 16, 18 and 20 are built in the unusual style of geometric Art Nouveau, with windows that are entirely atypical of the buildings in Prague. Not far from them are villas built in the style of geometric Modernism, among them such jewels in the crown as Vila Helenka. The area offers plenty of opportunities for short or longer walks around the surrounding streets and parks, for example U Nikolajky, Na Skalce or Doubková.

The surrounding area

The Na Václavce 16 project, which is currently offering nine spacious apartments with plenty of light, is ideal for all those who are young at heart, irrespective of their actual age. The building stands close to the lively centre of Anděl, but itself offers the contrasting peace and quiet of a residential district. The building, which will undergo complete reconstruction in 2017, provides comfortable housing that uses the very latest trends, whilst all the time respecting the architectural uniqueness of the building. The building stands within private grounds, the property of the owner, with the living space there accounting for more than 670 square metres. The offer takes in nine separate apartments, ranging from 45 to 83 square metres in area.

JThe south-facing apartments look into the garden and provide unbelievable peace and quiet, while those on the upper storeys offer a breath-taking view of the roofs of Smíchov.
